If you would like to give through your company's UNITED WAY campaign, please use code#U973988 to specify People Making a Difference (PMD). Please spread the word at your workplace that PMD is a grassroots group doing good work for 30+ local charities with an annual budget less than $100k. Past efforts have included company-wide voice mail and e-mail messages.
PMD is again part of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC#99930), Commonwealth of Massachusetts Employees' Charitable Campaign (COMECC#973988), and City of Boston Employees' Charitable Campaign (COBECC#2546). This means that if you work for the federal, state, or city government, you have the opportunity to make a charitable contribution to PMD. Please specifically designate PMD, and tell your co-workers about us.
Similarly, IBM employees can make donations through the IBM Employee Charitable Contribution Campaign (ECCC). Simply select PMD, #0L596. Thanks to a dedicated volunteer, PMD is a standard selection, but will be evaluated at year end to assess whether the level of interest by IBM employees merits continuing support in the campaign. So spread the word among your friends who work for IBM and its subsidiaries. Even minimum donations will help ensure PMD's future participation in this campaign.
Matching Gift Programs
Please ask your human resources department if your company offers a program like this. If so, let us know and we'll help you fill out the necessary paperwork to multiply your donation by taking advantage of this generous benefit.
Since PMD is recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by the IRS, your cash, stock, or in-kind donation may entitle you to a tax deduction.
Our EIN is 04-3191846.
PMD financial information can be found within 990 filings online at guidestar.com and you can review our most recent filing or by request to PMD per IRS policies.

We can process credit card donations using VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. We also accept online credit card donations through Network for Good, a nonprofit which provides secure credit card processing, and we would really appreciate your contributing the transaction fees when given the option. In the box labeled: "To designate your donation for a specific fund or purpose," you can enter unrestricted, a description of how you'd like your donation to be used, or leave it blank. Unrestricted allows us the most latitude in using your gift.

Donate via PMD's Facebook Cause, make a Donor Challenge to leverage more donations, create your own Cause to support PMD's year-round community service program, organize and advertise a benefit event, and easily share your enthusiasm with your networks.

Many companies have "Matching Gift Programs" for charitable donations made by their employees. This means that for every dollar an employee donates to an approved charitable organization, their employer will donate some additional amount.
