We can process credit card donations using VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also accept online credit card donations through Network for Good, a nonprofit which provides secure credit card processing, and we would really appreciate your contributing the transaction fees* when given the option. In the box labeled: “To designate your donation for a specific fund or purpose,” you can enter unrestricted, a description of how you’d like your donation to be used, or leave it blank. Unrestricted allows us the most latitude in using your gift.
If you have a Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund donor-advised fund (DAF), the DAF Direct box below enables you to recommend grants directly and easily to PMD.
You have the option of being recognized or remaining anonymous.
Consider joining us as a Legacy Difference Maker! Help us strengthen volunteerism by making contributions on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.
Avoid fees altogether by donating through the PayPal Giving Fund.
Give conveniently via Venmo. Consider donating to cover the processing fees.
Text “PMDvolunteer” to 707070. Consider donating 5% more to cover processing fees by the Pledgeling Foundation.

Donate through Your Workplace
Many companies have Matching Gift Programs for charitable donations made by their employees. This means that for every dollar an employee donates to an approved charitable organization, their employer will donate some additional amount.
Please ask your human resources department if your company offers a program like this. If so, let us know and we’ll help you fill out the necessary paperwork to multiply your donation by taking advantage of this generous benefit.
Provide PMD with a steady source of monthly income through convenient payroll deduction. Many workplaces allow for pre-tax payroll and other ways that you can conveniently donate using private portals like Spark and YourCause. Many workplace giving campaigns take place in autumn.
If you would like to give through your company’s UNITED WAY campaign, please use code #M973988 to specify People Making a Difference (PMD). Please spread the word at your workplace that PMD is a grassroots group doing good work for 30+ local charities with an annual budget less than $100k. Past efforts have included company-wide voice mail and e-mail messages.
PMD is again part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Employees’ Charitable Campaign (COMECC #973988) and City of Boston Employees’ Charitable Campaign (COBECC #2546). This means that if you work for the federal, state, or city government, you have the opportunity to make a charitable contribution to PMD. Please specifically designate PMD and tell your co-workers about us.
Similarly, IBM employees can make donations through the IBM Employee Charitable Contribution Campaign (IBM ECCC). Simply select PMD, #0L596.
Thanks to a PMD volunteer, PMD is a standard selection choice, but PMD is regularly evaluated to assess whether the level of interest by IBM employees merits continued inclusion in the campaign. Please spread the word among your friends who work for IBM and its subsidiaries. Even minimum donations will help ensure PMD’s future participation in this campaign.
Many companies offer “Dollars for Doers” programs to employees who volunteer for, and thus earn a corresponding donation to, select charities.
Volunteers from PwC, Corning, Microsoft, BNY Mellon, and Google have successfully generated substantial donations to PMD by recording their hours in their company’s internal system, such as Spark and YourCause.
