This is a fragrance-free event, meaning that participants must not wear perfume or cologne, or scented skin, hair, facial, or clothing/laundry products.
WHERE
Hancock Village Community Center's Covered Patio
Brookline/Chestnut Hill, MA
Free off-street parking
WHY
Pine Street Inn's mission is to be a community of respect and hope for each guest it serves; to be a resource through which neighbors and friends can help meet the basic needs of others; and to serve as a national leader to end homelessness by developing new affordable housing and by offering quality training programs that enable participants to work in the food services and other industries.
Volunteer labor and donations for bulk materials together make this event possible. Regardless of whether one volunteers on 6/21, anyone can help underwrite the cost of toiletries and snacks by donating via methods listed at https://www.pmd.org/donate - Please remember to designate your gift for "Street Outreach."
HOW
Ticket proceeds help PMD offset the high cost of materials since each bag contains more than $8 worth of toiletries and snacks.
IF you cannot afford to buy a ticket but wish to contribute your time, please CALL PMD at *82,1-781-963-0373 to discuss options.
PMD canNOT accept any UNticketed, walk-in volunteers.
Participation is required for an entire, 60-minute project shift.
If this popular project reaches maximum capacity, then interested volunteers can join the waitlist, since we anticipate (and promote) cancellations in case of illness and covid-19 exposures.
For volunteers ages 7-17, a parent/guardian must also co-sign a printout of PMD's waiver/release, and for volunteers younger than age 16, a parent/guardian must also buy a ticket before the shift reaches maximum capacity and participate fully with the minor.
Call PMD if you cannot buy your ticket online using eventbrite.
CALL THE PMD OFFICE at
After you buy your ticket successfully, you will see a confirmation screen and receive a confirmation email message, so be sure to save the date and times on your calendars AND add [email protected] to your address/white/allow list.
